Laurie Kain is a glassblower and 2-D artist based in the Methow Valley, just east of the beautiful North Cascade mountains of Washington state. Inspired by the rich metaphorical and mythical associations of molten glass and breath, she infuses her functional glass vessels and hallucinatory paintings with intricacy, rhythm, a rich and chaotic color sense, and a shamanistic sensibility.
